She was a child of "severe abuse"...something up until now she did not wish to talk about but now promotes talking and a lot to anyone who will listen in "help groups" for "High Powered Grief Counceling" for any and all. She also is President for other special organizations and charities. In the year 2002, we at Limited Original Dolls by Tre' were very much looking forward to her (Tre's) up-coming life story "Hell County Texas...The True Story Of A Modern Day Crucifixion" then more tragedy struck...a near-fatal car crash that left Tre' Kaminski completely disabled. That was almost two years ago June 17, 2002... She IS back now!! Still with severe pain and "un-describeable pain--so lets not talk of that..." See? That is how she is. Born Terressa Crystal Vaden she is now Terressa Bernadette Kaminski...(un-known) a Roman-Catholic S.M. (special minister and Lector) I could set and list countless things this lady does...she would not approve. She is known to the Fashion Doll World as simply "Tre" and her business as Limited Original Dolls. The San Francisco Business Headlines read ... only after one and a half months of introducing her creations to Bay Area Stores..."Tre' has designed for many famous celebrities from Liz Taylor to Pete Burns (of the England-based group Dead or Alive)... she has turned that (making fashions for stars and making fashions for Barbie!) "I am sure that the Contra Costa Times thought I was nuts"..."I know my husband did!" (Laughing) "I remember him (husband Wayne) asking me 'why have you taken all of those expensive dolls out of their boxes?'" Well...he saw very shortly as we drove to a near-by Doll Show and I "literally SOLD OUT" and for great prices...of every creation I had put together for 2 years and 10 months!"...says Tre' "I was just 'chunked'! I don't make a doll that doesn't make a statement" says Tre'. "A doll simply has to have a story behind her along with a name and personality. I put every ounce of me in what I create". "Major Headlines for a woman already 30 plus:-) and not getting any younger... you must realize this came so quickly... and within just days I went from a 'normal' (whatever that is) house-wife to SuperSlave"! "I had no time for myself...no privacy...you burn out.." "Having worked for big name designers and hair/make-up in Hollywood and on Broadway, Tre' has a "God-given gift of design and art" states the San Francisco Chronical-one of many publications she has been featured. The New York Times as well stated "a artist/designer of the "first degree and second to no one else!". From the start of Tre's career she has received many honors too numerous to name. Tre' was one of ten of the pioneers of customization and has opened many doors to the idea of buying a doll without a major company name behind it. Tre' was for many years "a OOAK (one of a kind) that she and other founders came up with to put in eBay Auctions, Fashion doll designer" before this was considered to even be a true vocation or full-time career. She is also the most published of ANY female doll artist/designer and up until 2000 won the most awards. "The only reason I gave up my other career(s) was because I wanted to find a better mold to work with. Mattel's BarbieŠ doll was my answer. She is the world's most famous lady. She doesn't lose or gain five pounds, she's ageless and SHE DOESN'T TALK BACK." "I also don't believe in charging an arm and a leg for an eleven and one half inch piece of vinyl. My dolls are as expensive as you want them to be." "Extensive bead work and design is very hard when you are doing it by hand. Rooting a doll head is extensive work. I charge for my time as well as my talent. I look at every doll as a creation of Fine Art. In other words the costume does not come off, the hair isn't really going to be re-brushed...I mean it might bounce off the floor but it will still be in good shape." After extensive college in NYC and working for the many Couture Houses and Runways for many years-- understandably Tre', as well as the rest of the world, was "completely devastated when the attack on our country occurred so unexpectedly on that day that changed America we knew" Tre' states. Tre' only produces 230 to 550 creations a year. "She never had to sell her dolls...they sold themselves" says a long time friend and Barbie Doll Expert Betty Ann Shpil of Dolle Shoppe In The Park in Castro Valley, CA. "She was always tre'-rrific!" says Betty Ann, in the San Francisco Bay Area. A young Mackie! And Mackie IS my Very Favorite Designer"! But due to the fact that "being a mother comes first" in her life since the birth of her son Ross Alan almost six years ago-- Tre' has completed only ten dozen or so "important" dolls. One being "Diamond Lil" a FIRST PLACE winner at the 2000 National Barbie Doll Convention in Tulsa Oklahoma. She had previously won "Chairman of the Judges Choice Award" among many other honors in many previous doll conventions. "God has always been there...I did nothing by myself...and if it were not for good people that buy my creations I would be no one at anything...I don't take "it" or anything for that matter, for granted." "Life is just like your dolls...it is what you make of "it" them...you can choose to succeed or loose. I don't loose." "I don't believe in those words..."
